Hello Origin Housing residents,
I'm Troy, the CEO of Victoria Hall Harrow a community Hub located beneath Byron Court and Moore House.
Having grown up in Harrow in a tough environment (temporary housing, free school meals, single parent background etc.), it fuelled my desire to support my community to succeed in school, work and life. I understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing the people of Harrow. As a local community space and owners of units 78 and 79, we face many of the same challenges and share similar concerns. I truly believe that by working together, we can accomplish more for everyone in our community.
Since joining Victoria Hall in November 2024, we've been busy forging new connections and expanding our local impact:
-
Building Bridges: We've actively strengthened ties with local residents and Origin Housing Association, with the aim of creating a supportive environment where residents' concerns can be properly addressed to Origin Housing Association.
-
Amplifying Resident Voice: We recently welcomed Jason, a key member of the Byron Court and Moore House Residents Association, to our board as a new trustee. This ensures the voice of local residents is directly heard in our decision-making process.
-
Offered Free Meeting Space: Provided Victoria Hall premises free of charge for two resident meetings, as we're all part of the same neighbourhood working toward common improvements.
-
Offered Community Support Linkages: Proactively offered to connect Origin Housing with wider local services (e.g., Young Harrow Foundation, Voluntary Action Harrow) and Victoria Hall's own services to support residents, particularly during the cost of living crisis.
